Contact seminar information
Comenius Regio Contact Seminar – Transitions from childhood to youth.
The Icelandic LLP National Agency will host a Comenius Regio contact seminar in Reykjavík 2-5 th November 2011. The main purpose of a contact seminar is to create a forum for Representatives of local and regional school authorities with a role in school education to meet and establish european cooperation in a Comenius Regio partnerships. The main purpose of Regio is not to involve pupils or students directly but to promote the development of structured cooperation between the partner regions. Projects are funded on a two year basis and grants are both for mobility and project development.
Location and dates: The contact seminar will be held in Reykjavík, Iceland, 2-5. November 2011. Meeting venue: Radisson SAS hotel – Hótel Saga and Blue lagoon .
Theme: Transitions from childhood to youth
Target groups: Representatives of local and regional school education authorities with a role in school education from LLP countries. The main purpose of Regio is not to involve pupils or students directly but to promote the development of structured cooperation between the partner regions. LLP National Agency representatives in charge of Comenius Regio partnerships are also invited to participate in the contact seminar and to offer their expertise and advice to potential applicants.
Organisation: The seminar consists of plenary sessions with presentations on ‘best practice’ and presentations from experts in the field.
Time will be spent in workshop sessions bringing together actors with their project ideas or developing ideas on site.

The international airport is situated 45 minutes drive away from Reykjavík. Buses (FlyBus) at the airport are connected to arrivals. The fare from the airport to the hotel in Reykjavik costs around 15€.
