Description:
The whole idea is to give the opportunity to students to work together on subjects they prefer. In this way their interest for the collaboration will increase, they will find that finally they all care about the same things even if they live far and as a result their bonds will strengthen and they will feel citizens of the same country. At the same time the project will give an idea of the things that really interests today’s young Europeans.

Age range:
From 14 to 19.

Duration:
a school year.

Aims:
• Pupils will learn how to work collaboratively, with both their classmates and partners abroad. • Identify, analyse and evaluate complex information. • Develop understanding for differences between people. • Practice oral and written skills in a foreign language. • To foster the European dimension in education. • To diversify learning through Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). • To use ICT to create, communicate and share. • to develop writing and reading skills in a foreign language. • to develop collaborative writing. • to develop critical thinking skills when looking for, selecting and organizing relevant information on the chosen topic. • to learn basic web writing and graphical design rules. • to use ICT collaborative tools for publishing, editing and commenting articles. • to communicate efficiently with both classmates and partners abroad.

Expected Outcomes:
• Brochure: Pupils from both schools may publish their contributions in the form of a text (paper and/or on-line). • Web pages: Partner classes may decide to create a common website on their topics . • PowerPoint presentations. • On-line magazine creation. Finally all the pupils are going to work together on summarizing and presenting the results of their collaboration.

Procedural Plan:
Teachers : • agree on time lines and on ICT tools used in the project. • Explain the way of working and the purpose of the project to their pupils. • Gather resources, which will help their pupils find necessary information. • Agree on a chart of behaviour, which sets up the rules for good conduct on the Internet and towards the partners for the involved pupils. Pupils: Getting started: 1. They get familiar with the aims and schedule of the project. 2. They decide on the subjects they would like to discuss and make groups between different schools. Collecting and sorting information : 1. Pupils work on their subject with their partners abroad since the beginning. 2. They work in groups formed within the partnership. 3. Younger pupils get help from older pupils within the same school. 4. Each group decide about the way they will present their results. 5. Group members discuss and exchange information at least once a weak .
